Highlights from EIC 2025 – Pioneering Digital Identity Innovation
Insights from industry leaders shaping the future of the EU Digital Identity Wallet, decentralized identity, and electronic attribute ecosystems.

Hey there👋
Welcome to your daily pulse on what’s happening in the Verifiable Credentials world.
Today’s spotlight: EIC 2025 – the European Identity and Cloud Conference just wrapped up in Berlin, and it’s clear that digital identity innovation is charging forward. Let’s catch you up on who said what and why it matters.
🚀 Nick Lambert – Dock Labs
Dock Labs CEO Nick Lambert joined a powerful panel to discuss “The Business Case for Decentralized ID and the EUDI Wallet.”
He emphasized how decentralized identity isn’t just about privacy, it’s about delivering real business value. Alongside panelists Florin Coptil, Stina Ehrensvard, and Martin Kuppinger, Nick helped paint a clear picture of where verifiable credentials are headed next.

“Decentralized identity can deliver business value beyond privacy and control.”
Joerg Lenz – Namirial
Joerg posted a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who attended his session at EIC 2025.
He and Luigi Castaldo presented their proposal on creating a market for electronic attributes, unlocking the full potential of the EU Digital Identity Wallet (EUDIW). Joerg highlighted the huge interest they received, especially around Electronic Attribute Attestation (EAA).

“If you missed our talk, the slides are up here: Link”
Joerg also hinted at what’s next: Namirial’s upcoming discussions at Partner Campus 2025 in Paris. 👀
Luigi Castaldo – Namirial
Luigi reflected on his inspiring few days in Berlin, where he shared the stage with Joerg to present their bold proposal.
His post focused on the importance of building trust through standards like ETSI TR 119 479-2, and how Namirial is playing an active role in scaling the EUDIW ecosystem across Europe.

“We’re thrilled by the interest and look forward to more feedback from the community.”
That’s all for today!
These updates from EIC 2025 show us one thing loud and clear, Europe is serious about building trusted, interoperable digital identity systems. And the leaders mentioned above are paving the way.
Until next time,
